After more than 35 years in real estate, my focus has always been on lifting the standard of how we serve clients and how we support agents. That mindset has guided each stage of my career including residential and commercial sales, property management, corporate leadership, auctioneering and now coaching and consultancy. Along the way, I completed a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), which added further depth to my understanding of business, performance and long-term career development. With that in mind, I want to share an update on an important new direction.
I have recently secured a publishing contract in the United States for my second book, following the success of my first, Real Estate Manual to Mastery, which became an Amazon bestseller. My New Publisher has reviewed the first two chapters of my, yet to be titled, second book and offered positive early feedback, recognising that the themes and lived experience may be helpful to agents at all stages of their career.
The book will explore my own journey including adversity, rebuilding, longevity and the realities behind a 35-year career in real estate. It will also provide a practical framework for agents who are committed to improving their performance, building resilience and learning the fundamentals that have stood the test of time. There are very few books written by Australian real estate agents with broad, long-term industry experience, and even fewer that speak honestly about what really happens behind the scenes. Television shows rarely reflect the true work involved or the demands of sustaining a long-term career. My aim is to help bridge that gap.
Over the past few years my coaching work has continued to grow, with a stronger focus on supporting agents and teams in building consistency, structure and long-term performance. The book will sit alongside this work by offering something agents can refer back to throughout their career, with lessons grounded in experience rather than theory.
As the book progresses and demand for coaching continues to grow, I will no longer be taking on auctioneer appointments. This decision also aligns with recent Victorian-based regulatory changes, which have prompted many in the industry to reassess how they allocate their time and focus in the year ahead. While opinions vary, it has highlighted the importance of adaptability in an evolving landscape.
Moving forward, my priority is to continue supporting agents, teams and businesses through structured coaching and practical guidance shaped by more than three decades in the field. I look forward to sharing more updates on the book as it develops and contributing further to the industry that has shaped so much of my life and career.
